tragic. you gotta hand it to him...he didnt drop all the papers in the middle and run out of the studio and into oncoming traffic (perhaps a wiser choice under the circumstances). He stuck through it, only to be fired immediately after he humiliated himself. my favorite part is the blond chick pretending like nothing went wrong...that's professionalism.
Clearly Sam Beckett had just leapt into that weatherman. Did you notice how he said "Oh boy!" and then kept talking to someone named "Al"? Dead giveaways.
Oh, that's just the most awful thing I've ever seen on local television news... not counting, of course, its total abandonment of journalism.
Well, to be fair to the young man, WOUB is the television station at Ohio University. It serves as a lab for students in the communications department that want to get airtime experience.
I doubt the guy got fired, but I'll bet he didn't get a passing grade, though!!
(And I hope his advisor suggested that maybe he change his major to botany or French Lit!)
