The vendor who sold the cassava balls insisted nothing was wrong with them and ate a few to prove the point. Now she, too, is in critical condition.
That really shouldn't be funny. But somehow, it is.
Somehow? this is classic comedy. Hubris -> comeuppance through personal stupidity. It is both funny and very reassuring on a personal level that there is some kind of catholic balance that mets out justice occasionally. Also, it gives you some faith in natural selection.
Well said RM. Well said. Now if only the NRA would attempt something similar to prove that guns don't kill people.
Now, I'll never look at tapioca pudding the same way again.
