Comments: Six Panel Movies Presents... Van Helsing

I don't know why everyone's hatin so much on this film. I watched the movie this last weekend expecting nothing but to stare at Kate for a couple of hours, but the movie turned out to be really good.

The plot incorporating dracula, wolfman, and frankenstein was very good. Brought back great old stories/myths on vampires vs. werewolves, devil's desires to create life. Also, it was good to see Mary Shelly's Frankenstein instead of some stupid monster.

Had some corny lines and scenes, but it's a horror fick people. It's part of it.

I think I'll wait til Netflix ships it my way.

Could have been worse. You could have seen "Raising Helen" with your mom and your sister on Sunday. And paid for all 3 tickets. Picture it (Sicily 1912) - a very pregnant Joan Cusack on a playground in Queens utters the following line: "You know what they say - it ain't over 'til the fat lady swings." Need I say more?

Even worse, you could have paid to see Laws of Attraction, foolishly allowing your wife to pick the movie even though she paid to see Honey in the theaters.

Honey in the theaters. Wow. That's special.

Some of us may have paid to see Glitter... in the theaters.

Take it from me, Matt, the key to happiness in marriage is movie compromises.
